Tamara CHIPMAN Investigation - Two Year Anniversary Update

The investigation into the disappearance of Tamara Chipman has remained an ongoing and active investigation being handled by the Terrace Detachment with the assistance of Prince Rupert Detachment and the Terrace Regional GIS section.

In the past year, investigators have made significant progress in eliminating a number of tips as well as concentrating on some more compelling leads. On September 22, 2007, a trained Ground Search & Rescue Team assisted police in searching a wooded area east of Prince Rupert. The search did not uncover any meaningful evidence.

Information has been shared with the Highway 16 investigative review team who are currently examining files of women who have gone missing or murdered along the highway. While the investigation into Chipman’s disappearance continues to take positive steps, it is too early to know if this information will be of any assistance to the Highway 16 review team.

On September 21st, 2005, Tamara CHIPMAN was last seen hitchhiking on Highway 16, east of Prince Rupert, BC. The police are still asking for the public to contact either the Terrace or Prince Rupert Detachments with any information related to this investigation.

Hello and thank you too everyone who has helped with Tamara's case. My name is Cory and this is my daughter Tamara. This September will be the second year that her dad and myself have been missing our girl, it has without a doubt been the worst two years of our lives. Not a day or even an hour goes by that I don't think about her. Wish that I could talk to her or even just hear her voice again. I see her face everyday but sadly only in my mind, I talk to her only from my heart now, but I am sure that God tells her we are loving her always and he has her safely with him. Tamara was born on October 11. Her Grandpa Chipman drove Tom and I too the hospital that day. I'm not sure who was more excited about her arrival? From the minute she arrived she was loved by her entire family both my side and Toms. But I must say that Toms dad grandpa John and grandma Agnes were her favorites. Grandpa thought she was just it. He once entered her in a cute baby contest and was soo mad that she had not won that he said they had rigged the contest we all laughed cause we knew he was a little one sided with her. Tamara has a very big family and I cant even begin to tell you how great they all are and how we all miss her soo much. Tamara also has a son named Jaden he is the love of my life and we are so happy we have a part of Tamara still here Again I would like to thank everyone for there help and support I could not have survived this without so much help, especially to cousin Florence who started our walk and to Aunty Lorna and Aunty Gladys and Gramma Chipman and Brigetta and all there families all of the people who helped with the searches oh my goodness there just isn't enough paper or time to write all the names but if you read this and you were there in body or spirit I thank you soo much It really does mean the world to me. Tom and Christine Jaden and myself will keep you all in our prayers .

Tamara its November now,2 years this month that I heard you were MISSING.
I remember that day like it was yesterday,my parents called the had watched the news,they wanted to ask if I had you hidden away somewhere..
I really wish I had hidden you away,the last time we spoke we didnt have much time,but I could tell something was up,the things we talked about didnt seem that odd then,but now I wounder did you know something was going to happen,did you try to tell me and I missed it.
so many questions unanswered,so many rumors its hard! every where I go I hope to see you,but all I can do know is close my eyes and remember your beautifull smile,
I will never forget our last hugs good bye.
